There is more than one way to find success in college and the path to getting there is different for every student. This class will help incoming students define their individual goals and connect them to the resources needed to achieve these goals. Through activities and exercises students will discover the many academic and co-curricular activities available at UMass and begin creating their own roadmap to graduation.

There's more than one way to find success in college and the path to getting there is different for every student. Our goals in this course are to:
~Connect with fellow students and the instructor as you become a contributing member of the community, both at UMass and beyond
~Start planning your individual academic goals and pathways toward achieving them
~Explore the different majors in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and start thinking like a social scientist
~Identify and connect with resources and opportunities around campus, the 5-college consortium, and the Pioneer Valley
~Develop the academic and self-care skills you need to be successful in college
