The purpose of this course is to prepare student athletes to be successful at the University. Classes focus on academic skills, career planning, and personal well being.
This section of the course is a designated ?COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT? course and endorsed by the office of Civic Engagement and Service Learning at UMass. This course could be used towards the ?Civic Engagement and Public Service Certificate.?
If you choose to take this section of the course, you will not have a lot of extra work! Some class assignments and discussions will just be different than the other sections, and you will need to participate in some community engagement that can be scheduled around your courses and athletic commitments. The number of hours is flexible.

Restricted to freshman student-athletes.
Sections 1, 4, and 7 meet together on Mondays and separate on Wednesdays.
Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
