One dimensional flow in open channels, including uniform flow, gradually and rapidly varied flow, and coastal waters. Analytical and finite difference solutions to the governing conservation equations. Applications include stable channel design, sediment transport, storm surge, tides, and estuaries.

Open to Seniors and Graduate students only with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Pre Req: CE-ENGIN 357 Students who do not meet the minimum GPA may seek the consent of the instructor.
