Swahili VIII is an intermediate-level course in Swahili (Kiswahili) for students who have completed Swahili I-VII or the equivalent. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and to support course work in African studies.
Students must apply to add this course; Contact the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages for details: fivecolleges.edu/fclang
