This seminar will survey the origins and development of ideas and practices that are the basis of contemporary landscape architecture. The instructor will lead introductory discussions on a series of topics, investigating landscape theory and technology and the evolution of professional practice. Students will then lead seminar discussion of case studies of modern and contemporary projects and practitioners.
Open to Graduate students only. Undergraduates must have instructor consent.
