This course is integrative and will introduce you to business process optimization using mathematical programming models and provide you the capability to use modeling constructs for business process optimization scenarios that arise in industry. Such prescriptive analytics are used in decision-making scenarios that arise in business process planning and operations in areas such as production, logistics, supply chain management, marketing, or finance. The course assumes core knowledge of the analytical approaches that aid in operations decision making which we will use in applying operations management analytics to structure a decision scenario.
Open to sophomore, junior, and senior OIM (BBA-OPINFO) students only. OIM 310 OIM majors should monitor the course via SPIRE for seat availability. If you add yourself to the SPIRE wait list, please ensure you do not enroll in a course that conflicts with this course.
