This course investigates the structure of AAE and considers claims about its English, Creole, and African origins. The focus is on syntactic and morpho-syntactic description; however, semantics is also addressed.
Pre Req: LINGUIST 401 Prerequisite: Upper division course on sentence structure or consent of instructor.
