Do you want to live long and prosper? Well, foods and diets are the easiest thing to change, yet one of the most impactful factors to your health. In this class, you will evaluate different types of diet plans, find out what vitamins and minerals do in our body, and interpret food labels. You will also examine how different foods are harvested, processed, and delivered to your table. You will see food from a food scientist?s perspective and investigate different experimental designs to learn and promote various food products. Then, you will know what to consider and what to avoid when you go to grocery stores, when you are deciding whether to adopt a specific diet, and when you want to improve your health through food. So, hop on this journey to discover what you can do to better understand food and health.
