The course will introduce us (as a group) to ethnic studies as a framework for, navigating our own socializations, naming pedagogical components in school institutions, and fostering an understanding of restorative practices in learning. These three objectives are necessary for educators-in-training in order to reimagine what it means to be a lifelong learner-teacher and to create future educational spaces that honor and illuminate each others' intersecting social identities. Through the course of the semester, you will become acquainted with different academic programs in the College of Education and have the opportunity to articulate questions for how the College of Education can support you in achieving your career goals.
