In this course, students will identify and explore various academic and professional pathways to pursue their goals in education. The course will introduce various job opportunities in the K-12 schools, higher education settings, community education and more, while making connections to students' own identities as future educators. Students will also learn about the resources available in the College of Education and on-campus to help with their academic, professional and personal aspirations and wellbeings. By engaging in collaborative projects and hands-on activities, students will be able to explore their living experiences as first-year college students, particularly within the College of Education, and equip themselves with skills and techniques for a successful transition to college life at UMass Amherst.
