This seminar is a required course for Commonwealth Honors College students where students participate in a topical seminar-style course designed by its instructor. While the subject matter of each section is different, advanced knowledge of the topic is not required. While the subject matter of each section is different, the requirements for each section are the same. Individual titles and descriptions of HONORS 391AH sections can be found on the Commonwealth Honors College website.

Open to Senior, Junior, and Sophomore Commonwealth College students only. In this Seminar, students will work in small groups, and one group will lead a discussion each week on one Nobel awarded research in Chemistry or Medicine. Students will read a key article on the particular topic, critically discuss the merits of the article and how it changed our way of thinking about biological phenomena. There will be 5 groups of 3 students each, and each group will have the opportunity to lead a discussion twice in the semester.
