This course is designed to provide students with practical experiences related to methodologies used in the Physical Activity and Health Lab; specifically, measurement of physical activity and sedentary behavior in youth. Students will gain knowledge about best practices regarding human subjects? related research, and experience in 1) basic anthropometric measures, and 2) children's free-living physical activity and sedentary behavior (accelerometers, direct observation, surveys).
No pre-requisites, open to all disciplines. Application and in-person interview required to receive enrollment permission from instructor. Any undergraduate student in good academic standing (GPA > 2.0).
