Irish II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Modern Irish (also known as Irish Gaelic) offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Irish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and engagement with Irish-speaking communities, and to support course work in Celtic Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Students must apply to add this course. Contact the Five College Center for World Languages at fivecolleges.edu/languages.

Prerequisite: Modern Irish I or equivalent.

Permission is required for interchange registration during all registration periods.
