Through this course on communicating scientific information via social media, students will create content to explain a scientific topic of their choice, publish this on a public website, and present their work to the class. Topics may range from basic scientific principles to current research breakthroughs. Over the course of the semester, each student group will create a blog post for their chosen scientific topic. The purpose of these posts is to communicate scientific information to a general audience. This will involve simplifying language, creating analogies, and using pictures/videos to help guide the audience. Join us as a scientist to exercise your creative abilities and spread scientific awareness, or join as an artist/communicator to enhance our content and learn some science along the way!
