The fundamentals of the science of thermodynamics, control volume analysis of the conservation of mass and energy and the second law of thermodynamics, pure substance property relations, applications to refrigeration and power systems. Prerequisites: PHYSICS 151 , MATH 132 and MATH 233. MATH 233 may be taken concurrently.

This course is open to MIE, ENGIN, EE, CS E, CH E, and CEE majors only. MATH 132 and PHYSICS 151
