Faculty Planning & Writing Workshops
These are virtual summer sessions for Five College faculty members.
The Five College Consortium is providing planning and writing workshops this summer for the faculty of our member institutions. This is a great opportunity for those who haven’t had the time or opportunity to discuss strategies and check in with each other on writing challenges and successes during the pandemic. It will also give faculty the opportunity to (re)connect with colleagues and exchange ideas.
Faculty wanting to take advantage of this opportunity, should complete the Expression of Interest form below by Friday, June 3, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
Decisions about acceptance will be shared the week of June 6, 2022.
Planning your Summer Research & Writing in Uncertain Times
In this three-hour, virtual workshop, writing consultant Cathy Luna will share a flexible planning process designed to identify obstacles to summer research and writing goals and develop strategies to meet them.
Facilitated Virtual Writing Accountability Groups
Writing Accountability Groups (WAGs) are interdisciplinary groups of faculty who commit to meeting online for 1.5 hours, once a week, for six weeks. In addition to providing ongoing accountability, community, and support, facilitated WAGs help participants learn to set realistic goals, break large writing projects into smaller tasks, and use short periods of time to make progress on writing tasks.
