The Five College Center for East Asian Studies is committed to promoting East Asian Studies at the Five Colleges and supports, encourages, and improves the teaching of East Asian cultures in elementary, middle, and secondary schools, and two- and four-year colleges in the Northeast.

2015 Japan Study Tour
FCCEAS is conducting a study tour to Japan in summer 2015  for NCTA alumni from any U.S. state. The goal of this study tour is to learn about peace education in Japan and to use the knowledge acquired to develop implementation strategies for use in U.S. schools. Japanese Tea Ceremony
FCCEAS announces a new website: The Way of Tea, the Japanese Tea Ceremony in videos, photos, and words. Filmed at Wa-Shin-An Tea House, Mount Holyoke College, this digital project was created by Yuko Eguchi for FCCEAS with funding from the Freeman Foundation for the National Consortium for Teaching About Asia.
