In the spirit of feminist solidarity, accountability, and productivity, the Center hosts a variety of opportunities to write in community, carving out regular space and time to simply do the work.

Feminist Write-Together Sessions
Monday Mornings
R.W. Kern Center, Room 202, on the Hampshire campus and via Zoom.
9:30-10:00: Come in, catch-up and conversation, set intentions
10:00-12:00: Write!
We begin each week by coming together to write, in feminist community. Doors open at 9:30, with quiet co-writing time from 10:00-12:00. Virtual participation via Zoom is also available. We welcome participation by Five College faculty and staff, grad students, and community members, of all disciplines and genders.
We meet every Monday morning when classes are in session. Parking on the Hampshire College campus is free; please leave a note on your dashboard that says “FCWSRC - Feminist Writing Community.” Kern 202 is accessible by elevator and stairs. Coffee and pastries are available for purchase at the Kern Kafe, on the first floor of the building.
No RSVP is needed! Please attend as regularly or occasionally as suits your needs and schedules. As is our tradition, on the first Monday of each month, we follow our Write-Together with a community lunch. Held from 12:00-1:00pm in Kern 202 on the campus of Hampshire College, our community lunch offers time and space to catch up about our research, writing, teaching, and whatever else is happening in our lives.
Please stay for lunch after the morning Write-Together -- or join just for lunch! If you are driving, please leave a note on your dashboard that says “FCWSRC - Feminist Writing Community.” We welcome Five College faculty and staff, grad students, and community members, of all disciplines and genders.
