To register for an Independent Study with Hampshire College faculty you need to communicate the faculty member's name to your Registrar's office along with your Course Request and Instructor Permission form.

To register for an Independent Study with Hampshire College faculty at any level, you need to either pick up an Independent Study form in the Central Records office or use the electronic form on our webpage. Search on "course registration, information and forms" on the Hampshire website. If you are a Five College student be sure to request it at your home institution in addition to following the instructions above.
