This course will teach the basics of whitewater canoeing. We will start in flat water and learn the strokes needed to propel and steer a canoe, and then will progress to moving water and Class I rapids, where we will learn the basics of maneuvering a canoe in rapids. Depending on the groups' skills, we may progress into Class II rapids. This course is listed as running from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. It generally will not run that entire time, but possibly will a few times. Actual start and end times will be dependent upon water levels and dam releases, but students should be available for class during the entire 8:00 am to 5:00 pm time.

8:00 am- 5:00 pm. The class will generally not take this long, but start and end time is variable and dependent upon water levels.

Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
