'Globalization has become a household word. This course introduces students to the economic forces that have led to an ongoing integration of economies worldwide over past centuries. We will examine both benefits and costs that have resulted from this development. Topics will include global economic issues and developments, such as the recent financial crisis, income and wealth inequality, environmental degradation, and market integration in North America and Europe.'
This course is limited to first-year students.
