In this course, we will examine a number of topics within the realm of sex difference. Topics covered will include a discussion of the differences between sex and gender, the effect of sex hormones on cognitive processing, sex differences in mental illness, sex disparities in STEM fields, and stereotype threat and cognitive performance.
Prereq: PSYCH-100.
Classes will consist of a mixture of class discussions, class activities, and short lectures. To facilitate class discussions, mandatory preparatory readings will be provided before each new topic is covered. Grades will be assessed through tests, in clas
