Design introduces students to the core elements and principles of design that shape visual storytelling across the performing arts. Through hands-on projects, discussions, and visual analysis, students explore line, shape, color, texture, space, balance, contrast, rhythm, emphasis, and unity as foundational tools. This course examines how these concepts are applied to scenic, costume, and lighting design for the stage, emphasizing collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. Students will develop visual literacy and practical skills while learning how designers translate scripts and ideas into compelling theatrical environments.
$50 course fee.
