This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of line dancing in a high-energy, social environment. Students will learn a variety of choreographed dances-ranging from classic country western steps to contemporary urban and pop styles-set to diverse musical genres. The focus will be on mastering basic footwork patterns, improving cardiovascular endurance, and developing spatial awareness and coordination. No prior dance experience or partner is required. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform a repertoire of standard line dances and understand the terminology used in social dance settings.

1 PE unit. Half semester. Repeatable.
