Study of psychological treatments for mental disorders. Course will examine psychotherapy and its connection to underlying etiological theory for selected anxiety disorders and clarify the nature and quantity of evidence supporting the efficacy of each treatment. Attention will be devoted to the strengths and weaknesses of different research designs for answering specific questions about psychotherapy. The course will highlight and mark psychotherapy studies and document which treatments have been shown to be most effective for which problems or types of patients. Prerequisites: PSY 100, PSY 202, and PSY 150.
