This course is designed as the capstone course in the theatre major. Students from across the subdisciplines of theatre work in groups as theatre companies. Each group collaborates to establish a mission statement; ties their company to historical and contemporary theatre practice; chooses a season; writes a broad range of dramaturgical, educational and promotional materials; and presents work (scripts, designs, scenes, etc.) from the season. A range of guest artists and outside faculty work with the students on the act of collaboration, and on the building of a company and a mission. Prerequisites: THE 198 or THE 199, junior or senior majors.
