Dance 244 - TANGO II

This class is open to people who have completed the 100-level Tango course, or who already have competence in social Tango from previous study. We continue and deepen the study of Tango as a social dance form, while also being introduced to Tango's performance vocabulary. We remain focused on the lead and follow "voices" of Tango's iconic archetypes, and study Tango's styles, in both traditional and nuevo (emerging) contexts. The class also studies the creation and organization of Tango dance communities. A partner is not necessary. Wear leather-soled dance shoes or bring socks. Enrollment is limited to 20.
