German people, culture and thought have shaped or otherwise influenced various aspects of American history and society in a profound way. This course will examine the impact of this influence over the last two centuries on American high and popular culture across different media (film, video, advertising, print, etc.) and the image of things German that has evolved in the U.S. as a result. Course conducted in English. No previous knowledge of the subject is necessary.
