This course covers principles of human-computer interaction and human interfaces to computers and computing devices. It will look at human factors, models of human perception, and human information processing and how they influence interface design, focusing on design principles, usability, user testing and other user evaluation methods. These concepts will be explored concretely
through the technologies for building user interfaces (mainly World Wide Web), as well as interfaces to computer programming languages and tools, databases, data analysis systems, artificial intelligence systems, machine learning systems, and other computer applications. Prerequisites: CSC 105, 111 and 212. Enrollment limited to 20. (E)
