This course explores emotions and emotional behaviors from their evolution to their neural substrates. Topics include functions of emotions, fear, stress, social bonding, motivation and happiness. Special attention is paid to the ways in which the environment interacts with biology to shape subjective experience and behavior. Enrollment limited to 25.
