Spanish 245wc - Topics in Latin American and Peninsular Studies: Women in Spanish Cinema

Focusing on films by and about women in Spain, this transdisciplinary course will explore topics such as gender, sexuality, racism, representation of minorities, social movements and political activism. Students will also examine how digital technology and social media have transformed Spanish film and television production. Prerequisite: SPN 200-level course or placement test. Enrollment limited to 20.
