Honors College 196 - Honors Independent Study

Involves frequent interaction between instructor and student. The student and sponsoring instructor must fill out a contract, which is available at the Commonwealth College office, 504 Goodell. Qualitative and quantitative enrichment must be evident on the proposed contract before consent is given to undertake the study. The 1-2 credit option is an additional component tied to any University course of at least 3 credits at the 100-level, with course instructor approval. The 3- to 6-credit option is a stand-alone independent study designed by the student and faculty sponsor. Registration can be done during pre-reg and should be completed by the end of the add-drop period.
