Explores themes that span the legal studies curriculum and many other courses on campus: the various relationships between law, societies, and justice on a global scale. While each instructor will assign different readings and emphasize different subject matter that will be identified in the course description on each syllabus (see below), the general themes and goals of this course are shared across sections. Cross-cutting the curriculum for this course is a focus on (1) how to formulate and answer interdisciplinary questions about justice; (2) how to identify, study and resolve problems at the intersection of law, societies, and justice; and (3) the ways in which justice is understood and operates individually, locally, and internationally. Satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for BA-Legal majors. Pre-reqs: Open only to LS majors in the 3rd year, transfer students in the 4th year, or by permission of instructor.

This class is open to Junior Legal Studies majors only.

Permission is required for interchange registration during all registration periods.
