Theater 465 - Advanced Constructn Techniques

Hands-on, project-based learning of advanced technology applied to theater on rotating subjects including AutoCAD, fine wood joinery, automation, project management, and/or metal working.

This is an introductory class focused on learning AutoCAD. Project-based with weekly assignments, students will find many opportunities to learn how to create 2D technical and design drawings used for theater and the entertainment industry. Although many on-campus computer labs have AutoCAD, students will benefit from downloading a free version to the own personal computer or laptop.
