This class has two components: The first component is an academic/ historical overview of ballet aesthetics, philosophies, and criticism to become more competent in examining the various aspects of ballet choreography. The second component is practical studio work experimenting with the ballet vocabulary and creating ballet compositions. Field trips to live ballet performances will be scheduled throughout the semester. Lab fees will apply.
Open to DANCE and BFA-DANCE majors only.
