Dance 397P - ST-Performance Skills

Open to DANCE and BFA-DANCE majors only. This is a movement-based class for dancers and performance artists, for developing stage presence. Students will develop a wealthy repertory of skills to find and master their own personal power and confidence on stage and off. Gain solid, clear techniques for becoming a mesmerizing, interesting mover and shaker on stage and off. Skills gained will be useful for auditions, performances, film/video/stage, public speaking, teaching, and interviewing. The class will have weekly reading and writing assignments, and will include in-class discussion, movement exercises and performance practice. Recommended for experienced dancers in any style, only.
