Yoruba III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Yoruba. Yoruba is one of the primary languages of Nigeria and also spoken in diaspora communities in Brazil and the Caribbean. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Yoruba develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in West Africa and to support course work in African and African-Caribbean studies.
