This course will provide an overview of the Earth?s biota during the past 3.5 billion years. From single celled microbes to the dinosaurs to woolly mammoths and to our species, Homo sapiens sapiens, this course will examine relationships between biological systems and environmental change. The major events in the history of life will be examined including the origin and early evolution of life on Earth, diversification of life, mass extinction's, and the biogeochemistry of Earth through time.
Multiple required components--lab and/or discussion section. To register, submit requests for all components simultaneously.
