This course in an introduction to the field of medical physics and covers the applications of physics in medicine. Topics covered include: electrical activity within the body, instrumentation, interactions of photons and charged particles with tissue, imaging techniques (e.g. CT and MRI), and cancer (causes, techniques of detection and treatment).

PreReq: PHYS 151&52 or 181&82
