The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Norwegian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Norway and to support course work in European Studies and Scandinavian Studies.

Prerequisite: Norwegian I-IV or the equivalent.
Permission is required for interchange registration during all registration periods.
