Development of basic rules of public international law. Topics include sources of evidence for law, international legal personality, jurisdiction, treatment of individuals, law of treaties, law of the sea, resort to force, and peaceful settlement of disputes. Satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for BA-PolSci majors. POLISCI 121 or equivalent strongly recommended.
Open to Senior & Junior POLISCI primary majors. Pre Req: Polisci 121 This course fulfills the Integrative Experience (IE) requirement for Political Science primary majors only. If you have already satisfied the Political Science IE requirement, you are not eligible to enroll in this course and will be moved from the class roster to the wait list. After the open enrollment period, you may be enrolled off the waitlist if seats become available.
