The principles of sensory processing form the foundation of our ability to experience the world around us. This course will discuss important concepts in sensory neuroscience including sensory detection, discrimination, coding, development, integration, and pathology. Topics will be explored from diverse perspectives including genetic, cellular, circuit, and behavioral approaches. Original papers; student presentations; discussions of primary research.
