Service Learning 390CE - Civic Engagement Seminar

This course is designed to prepare upper class students for their role as Peer Mentors for Leadership Fellows participating in the Leadership & Community Engagement Institute. In this course, students will engage in reflection activities, a simulation exercise, group projects, individual assignments and class discussions. Through these activities, students will explore and learn about student development theory, students in transition, and leadership theories and models. Students will also reflect on their personal development and experiences, exploring how these influence their relationships with peers and shape their understanding, practices, and effectiveness as Peer Mentors.
