Open to HANDS Scholars Only. {HANDS, Health and Nutrition Diversity Scholars, is a multicultural professional development program designed to increase the diversity of those who pursue nutrition as a major and to prepare nutrition majors to work with diverse populations. For further information and application, visit www.umass.edu/sphhs/hands. While this program is open to all nutrition majors, students of those population groups currently underrepresented in nutrition (i.e., African Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians or other Pacific Islanders) are encouraged to apply.
