Learning objectives: To be able to identify native New England herbaceous plant and woody understory species. To know the morphology, distribution, habitat, ecology and economic importance of these species. To understand how morphology, life history, and ecology are related to habitat and distribution of herbaceous plant and woody understory species. To understand the major processes of disturbance and succession and their effects on the composition, structure and wildlife value of these plant communities.
Initial meeting (with ECO 697AD) is to establish a compatible meeting pattern for all students enrolled.
