This course seeks to answer questions like these: Who benefits from war and civil conflict, and who loses? How can we assess the nature and size of their gains and losses? Who therefore has an interest in creating or perpetuating war or civil conflict? What economic conditions are conducive to peace, and what economic policies promote peace?
