Not for credit toward major. An interesting way to get informed about biotechnology and science that will affect your life. Topics include, the language of DNA, stem cells and human cloning, the genetic code and causes of genetic disorders, testing for genetic disorders, the human genome project, DNA fingerprinting and justice, pharmacogenomics and designer drugs, bio-history: revisiting evolution with biotechnology, genes and behavior, and other life-science topics that will affect living in the 21st century. Prerequisites: None. (Gen. Ed. BS)
This is a blended course. This section will be meeting in classroom on Wednesdays and will be taking the class online on MF.
