The course is designed to help participants acquire the concepts and skills to envision, create a plan for, and implement a better way of promoting student learning, development, and achievement. Participants will work on a team to carry out activities related to each of the following: diagnosing institutional strengths and needs, using data to construct visions, developing reform plans, conceptualizing and reducing resistance to change, developing a budget and an implementation schedule, monitoring the extent of implementation progress, and making adjustments in plans in the light of progress, obstacles to implementation encountered and changes in context.
