Topics include late 19th-century industrialization, the farm crisis, urbanization; emergence as a world power; the Progressive Era; the 1920s, the Depression, World War II; domestic problems and foreign relations since 1945. Several sections, some emphasizing films. (Gen.Ed. HS)
