This course is designed to give students a broad overview of public health and public health systems within the United States. This course will provide students with an understanding of the core disciplines with public health and will then focus in on the social and political aspects of health. The course will allow students to gain an understanding of the role of public policy in health and how to develop policies and plan that support individual and community health efforts.
Open to Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Public Health majors only. Open to second semester sophomores, junior and senior Public Health majors only.


Open to Public Majors who have 45 credits or more.

Students are not allowed to take this course if they've taken or are enrolled in 290B, and/or enrolled as a PH major after Fall 2015
